This 2’ish year old pitty babe is full of life, love, and is looking for her forever home!

She was a stray and came to the Martinez Animal Shelter in late December 2024. Due to severe overcrowding at the shelter, she was slated for euthanasia on March 12, when she was rescued by a foster. Unfortunately, this kind woman was unexpectedly injured and was incapacitated enough that she found alternative care for Zuly. She’s now being fostered at Adventure Awaits Dog Daycare in downtown Sacramento.

Zuly LOVES to play with high energy dogs, wants cuddles and pets all the time, and sleeps great on her large dog bed with her favorite toys. She loves being outside in the sun with her toys. No issues at the fence when humans and dogs walk by. She’s a smart girl!! She knows sit, stay, wait, come, leave it. She loves food and treats! Her ideal home would have a yard, someone that has owned pitty breeds before, has time to take her on adventures and give her play dates! She will sit with you on the couch when you want to be lazy! Just be sure to rub her belly 🙂

She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, and had a clean fecal test

Notes from her caretaker:

A friend of mine swooped this girl up from the Contra Costa animal shelter but was no longer able to foster her due to an injury requiring surgery. So, this incredible daycare is hosting her until we find an adopter. Her name is Zuly. She’s about 2.5 yrs old and a really darling girl! She’s energetic, loves playing with playful dogs, listens well, lives for a grassy place to roll and play with her toys. She’s snuggly and sweet as they come. Please share far and wide so we can get Zuly a home of her own. Big thanks to @adventureawaitsdogdaycare for giving her a place to crash and helping her learn new skills to get her ready to be a new family member

Notes from shelter volunteer

Zuly is an absolute crack up! This girl knows how to make you laugh ! Zuly was happy to be leashed and taken out of the kennel. She walks confidently and elegantly with a constant tail wag. Zuly loves toys and is extremely playful. She would roll on her back, lean into you, fetch the toy and be willing to share it with you too. She is beautiful in person with a deep brindle colored fur. Zuly is very friendly with all dogs and is a playgroup star. This goofy girl is always happy and sweet to all.
