Ritz was on the streets before being placed in a shelter, where she was put on the euthanization list due to being a pit bull. Thankfully, we rescued her just in time. Initially very shy, she quickly warmed up and became cuddly with us.
Ritz is playful and loves to run and play with toys and other dogs, though she has shown some territorial behavior around food and water bowls. To avoid issues, it’s best for her future owner not to have other animals. She has a playful bark/growl when energetic, but mostly enjoys zoomies.
She knows how to sit and has decent recall, though she can pull on walks. While she seems to favor women, she has been fine with the men we’ve introduced. She’s curious but not aggressive toward cats, and we haven’t allowed close contact yet.
Ritz can be territorial about her space and is sometimes inconsistent in her comfort level with new people. Overall, she’s an amazing dog with some shelter-related trauma, and anyone would be lucky to have her as a best friend.
