Hello there! I’m Kristen, a gentle-hearted three-year-old, 63-pound Siberian Husky girl, and I’m on a mission to find my forever family. My journey hasn’t been easy—I was found wandering the streets of Concord and eventually ended up in a shelter. My future looked grim, and I was placed on the euthanasia list. But then, my amazing foster parents saved me, offering me a second chance at a happy life!
Given my past, I can be a little shy at first, but once I trust you, I’ll show you just how much love I have to give. I’m known for my sweet nudges, asking for the attention and affection I deeply crave. I’d be thrilled to have a doggie friend to wrestle and play with, but I also enjoy quiet moments snuggling beside my human on the couch. After a bit of play, I’m all about cozy relaxation time.
I’m proud to say I’m housebroken and potty-trained! When left alone, I do get a little anxious—it reminds me of my lonely days in the shelter. Thankfully, having a dog friend around greatly eases my separation anxiety. I also love gazing out the window and people-watching, which keeps me calm and entertained when my humans aren’t around.
So far, the longest I’ve been left alone with my foster family’s resident dog is 4 hours. I did well, though I couldn’t resist sneaking a piece of cardboard from the recycling bin for a quick chew! I promise I’ll do my best to work on that!
I’m a fast learner and already know commands like “sit,” “down,” and “shake,” which I’m more than happy to show off—especially if treats are involved! I’m a great car passenger and don’t get carsick, so road trips are a go! Walking on a leash is another one of my favorites, though sometimes the sights and smells are just too exciting, and I might pull a little.
If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, and sometimes goofy companion, I might be the one for you. I’m currently waiting in Sunnyvale, CA. Could you be the family I’ve been dreaming of?
I am currently with Wren Yorkie Rescue. If interested, please contact my foster mom at 408.462.0825. She will send you the application and coordinate meet-and-greets.
